Let customers speak for us
Chargemommybooks is an excellent company that provides decodable reader books for early readers. In this set, each book focuses on a different short vowel sound and is designed to help children master their phonics skills.
My kids absolutely love these books! The engaging illustrations and well-crafted stories keep them interested and motivated to read. What's more, the books are decodable, which means that all the words in the text can be sounded out using phonics rules. This helps my kids feel confident and empowered as they practice and apply their reading skills.
What's more, I really appreciate how easy it is to get in touch with the company. Whether it's a question about shipping or a request for more information, Chargemommybooks is always quick to respond and happy to help. This level of customer service really sets the company apart and makes it a pleasure to do business with them.
Overall, I highly recommend Chargemommybooks to parents and teachers who are looking for a fun and effective way to help young children learn to read.
This short vowel book set is the perfect resource for my small group lessons with my kindergarten students. The students are excited to read these books. They’re engaging and have great literacy skills in the back of the book to practice phonemic awareness and phonics skills. I highly recommend and can’t wait to purchase the other book sets for all of the stages when they become available.
My readers loved this book! From it's entertaining story (who doesn't love picking a pet in 2nd grade?) to the colorful illustrations- this text is easily decodable and fun for kids. My students in reading intervention enjoyed it- especially the part where the snake squeezes the boy's arm. The literacy activities in the end of the books are great for developing phonological awareness.
This set of books are amazing to help young learners how to read. My kindergarteners have been enjoying this set. Thank you for making this amazing set of books.
Thank you for creating excellent decodables for my first graders. They are perfect size for small hands. They are beginning reader friendly and my students love them. It is great to be able to offer CVC practice to my students.
Engaging story, vibrant pictures- my kids keep asking me to read it to them!
I am thrilled to add these engaging, decodable cvc stories to my collection as they allow for my students to continue to have an opportunity to experience the success of learning how to read and the JOY of an action packed story! My own Kindergartener was very excited about these new stories and had a blast reading through them.
This is a great set of decodable books at a great price! I am always looking for decodable books to switch it up for my daughter who needs lots of repetition and practice of skills learned. She loved these new books and enjoyed the activities in the back! The personalized notes at the beginning were also a hit! Thank you, Brooke!
As a former teacher, my reading focus is on finding quality resources that are aligned with the Science of Reading. As a homeschooling mama, my focus is on finding budget friendly resources. These books fit my goals very well! They were written, edited and illustrated by a highly qualified team, including a Literacy Specialist who is a LETRS, Top Ten Tools, and Orton-Gillingham-trained reading specialist. These books hold the distinction of being on the Reading League's list of preferred decodable books.
My kiddos repeatedly choose these from our book bin to read aloud. I am able to pull them for multiple phonological awareness lessons as they include 8 pages of vowel specific literacy activities. That's 8 quality lessons in one book - the kiddos build fluency each time we work on a new lesson! We use a page protector and dry erase marker to work right inside the book so the books and lessons are kept intact for future use. I love that decoding AND encoding are included - I don't have to come up with my own encoding lesson after we read together. I also appreciate the list of HFW and special notes listed at the beginning of each book. With a quick view, I am able to identify any short lessons we may need prior to reading. I am also able to easily scaffold learning - my youngest tells me the sounds for each elkonin box while my oldest tells me the letter associated with that sound! The customer service team is courteous and they quickly respond to all messages. I have already pre-ordered future releases!
I am a Kindergarten teacher. These books are wonderful addition to my classroom.
They are a perfect length. Children do not get frustrated . They are beautifully illustrated. My students are laughing and smiling as they read the passages and look at the illustrations. One thing that really stands out are the phonological awareness activities at end of the each book. As a teacher it’s so amazing to have this added. It is 100 percent no prep work for me! I highly recommend these books. I cannot wait to purchase more.
Brooke came to my son’s preschool for an Author Visit, and we were delighted to be able to buy a signed copy of her book, “Say Cheese!”. The plot is very relatable, since my son likes to play with my very old iPhone. Thank you, Brooke, for sharing your love of reading and writing with Stamford Public Schools!
This book was simple and inviting for my 1st grader to read. My son enjoyed it very much and will definitely read more books by this creative author!
We loved this book! Kids ask to read it everyday and I’m more than happy to, which is important! The ending really got me! I had tears in my eyes and the biggest smile! Such a sweet, beautifully written story about mommy & son! Definitely a new addition to our top favorites!
My son is just learning how to read. Most of the books I found were just not keeping his interest. I thought I would give these a try because they seemed like fun stories with cute illustrations. Whoa, was I happy! My son loves them!
Our kid loved the books we bought him. They had a lot of bright, colorful pictures, the language was simple, repetitive, used patterns for recognition, and was age-appropriate. Our son enjoyed the stories and was quite proud of himself for working through them. They were fun and engaging!
